Learning to work with Steel and fuse Gold is considered an advanced technique, but I teach primarily intermediate metalsmithing students. In general a basic knowledge of working with sheet metal, soldering or torch work is required. You will be working with a torch at high temps and you need to be comfortable doing that. Basic studio safety is very important and will be stressed.
2 1/2 day classes are $595 per student and require a minimum of 3 students.
Material fees are subject to the gold market, but typically are $425.
